This member of the Peperomiaceae family was
given this name by Guillermo Pino in 2011. It is found in the
central part of western Peru around 3300 metres height. It is growing in a
clayish soil with some water and some sun. The caudex can grow
to seven centimetres in diameter, the leaves to seven as well and
the flowers twice the height. The flowers are whitish.

Latin word for "fist": Pugnus, referring the the older caudex's
